Funerals

funeralsThe ethereal sound of the bagpipe can be easily incorporated into a funeral.  Generally, there are one to two times a piper could play:

  1. As quests arrive or leave - A bagpiper in the distance is a beautiful and moving addition that can also help guests locate the church. A certain type of tune was created solely to achieve this “piper in the distance” sound: Piobaireachd (pronounced pee-brock).
  2. Mid-Ceremony - Often half-way to three-quarters through the ceremony after most words have been spoken, a delicate slow air, such as Amazing Grace, can help disclose emotions for your lost loved one.

Please refer to the Slow Airs and Piobaireachd section for more tune ideas.

Feel free to choreograph your event exactly the way you want it - I’m willing to be flexible! To ask a question or check availability on a certain date, get in touch with Mark.
